Trees: Your Landscape Legacy with Yvonne Schneider

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension-Travis County continues their 2024 Texas Tough Plants educational series with Trees: Your Landscape Legacy, April 10th, 10 am to noon. This is a free program.

Yvonne Schneider, Travis County Master Gardener Tree Specialist, will explore the many benefits that trees provide for your personal property as well as the general environment. A special focus will be placed on choosing the right tree that is well-suited to Austin’s climate and soil conditions.

Those interested must register in advance to receive a link. The live webinars are limited to the first 100 attendees. However, an unlimited number of people can register to view the recording. Everyone who registers receives a link to watch the recorded version.

Attendees can submit questions during the webinar and get answers live as time allows. Afterward, questions that don’t make it to the webinar will receive emailed answers. Viewers of the recorded sessions can send their questions to the Travis County Master Gardener help desk: travismg@ag.tamu.edu.

Yvonne was a 35+year veteran in the computer and information technology industry when she retired and moved from Houston to the Austin area. In 2018, Yvonne certified as a Travis County Texas Master Gardener Tree Specialist to follow her passion for gardening and volunteering within the community. She has spent 20+ years enjoying gardening and working with bulbs, perennials, and trees. She now tackles the challenges presented by the Austin area wildlife, drought, and limestone soil.
