Master Gardener Plant Clinic and Seed Swap at Wells Branch Community Library

The Wells Branch Community Library is hosting the Master Gardener Plant Clinic during their seed swap event. Several Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions on the best plants for the Austin area, lawn care, fertilizers, pest management, landscaping challenges, vegetable gardens, and native plants. In addition to sharing their experience and training, several publications are on hand for you to review or take with you. You’ll find the Native and Adapted Landscape Plants Guide along with other timely Grow Green FAQ sheets. Grow Green is a joint program with the City of Austin Watershed Department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. You can also pick up a copy of the Vegetable Garden Planting Guide and recommended Vegetable Varieties for Central Texas. Several more resources are available online. What is a Plant Clinic?

The Master Gardener Plant Clinic is a traveling help desk with Travis County Master Gardeners available to answer questions on various horticultural issues.

Who are Master Gardeners?

Master Gardeners are volunteers for the Travis County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service. In order to become a Master Gardener, each individual receives extensive horticultural training. Master Gardeners use their training and subsequent commitment for continuing education to help Austin area residents with their gardening questions.
