Roses Featured at Master Gardener Plant Clinic at Leaf Landscape Supply North

Join us  at 10 am for a rose workshop at Leaf Landscape Supply North. Master Gardener Holly Plotner will share her tips on selecting the right roses for your garden and discuss basic care and maintenance. She and the other Master Gardeners on hand can answer questions on other best plants for the Austin area, lawn care, fertilizers, pest management, landscaping challenges, growing vegetables, and native plants. In addition to sharing their experience and training, several publications are on hand for you to review or take with you. You’ll find the Native and Adapted Landscape Plants Guide along with other timely Grow Green FAQ sheets. Grow Green is a joint program with the City of Austin Watershed Department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. What is a Plant Clinic?

The Master Gardener Plant Clinic is a traveling help desk with Travis County Master Gardeners available to answer questions on various horticultural issues. This month features a rose workshop at Leaf Landscape Supply North. Look for the Master Gardeners out front or in the nursery.

Who are Master Gardeners?

Master Gardeners are volunteers for the Travis County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service. In order to become a Master Gardener, each individual receives extensive horticultural training. Master Gardeners use their training and subsequent commitment for continuing education to help Austin area residents with their gardening questions.
